Things to do in Carillon Beach

The turqoise Gulf of Mexico and sugar-white beach awaits, just steps from Butterfly Kisses. In addition to lazy days at the beach, there are other fun ways to spend your time with family and friends in Carillon Beach...

  • Take a short, three-minute stroll down Carillon Avenue, a safe, quiet village street, to the Gulf of Mexico and Dune Walkover #3 where your lounge chairs await.
  • Walk down the beach to Lake Powell and play in the shallow tides of a coastal dune lake.
  • Take a one-minute stroll to the Bellview Park pool (heated seasonally), playground, tennis courts, basketball court and greenspace for a game of soccer or tag football.
  • Take a one-minute walk down the shady promenade to the quaint, lakeside, New Orleans style Village of Carillon, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or ice cream at Our Little Beach Café (open seasonally), grab a pizza from Lake Powell Piizza or attend a wine tasting at the Salty Bottle Wine Shop.
  • Take advantage of a spa treatment at Salon Bailage & Spa.
  • Pickup last-minute sundries or souvenirs from the Shipwreck General Store.
  • Explore the quiet streets of Carillon on bike and visit one of the seven beach walkovers at sunset.
  • Arrive early on the beach and gather seashells and watch for dolphins as the sun rises.
  • In summer, visit the Village Green for the popular Monday Night Summer Concert Series, Groovin' on the Green, and weekly Wednesday Family Movie Nights on the Green.
  • Listen for the playful sound of the Carillon Bell Tower chime the hour and ring a familiar childhood tune.
  • Attend the non-denominational, lakeside chapel service on Sunday morning in The Meeting House.
  • Spot turtles swimming among the lily pads from the shores of Lake Carillon.
  • Venture outside the gates of Carillon Beach to the surrounding beach towns including Inlet, Rosemary, Seacrest, Alys, Watercolor, Seaside, Blue Mountain, Grayton, or Santa Rosa Beaches to name a few. Each town offers its own unique beach vibe with local restaurants and shops. Or take a cruise to Shell Island in search of dolphins along the way and search for shells washed ashore.
